Inside “Stranger At The Pentagon” with Executive Producer Jim Stefan

For all the sci-fi fans out there, “Stranger At The Pentagon” promises to be a blockbuster hit, says executive producer Jim Stefan. The film is based on true events – or at the very least, the book by that name written by Dr. Frank E. Stranges and first published in 1967.

“Stranger At The Pentagon” tells the tale of the landing of Valiant Thor, the first documented landing of a human-type alien. Valiant Thor met with President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon upon his landing on March 16, 1957 and he was invited to remain at the Pentagon for three years.

This alien VIP is an open historical secret, explains Jim Stefan, who worked on the film alongside Craig Campobasso, the California based Emmy nominated casting director and film-maker. Author Dr. Frank E. Stranges had the opportunity to meet with the extraterrestrial on Christmas Eve, 1959, toward the end of Valiant Thor’s residence at the Pentagon.

“Stranger At The Pentagon” opens on the morning of Valiant Thor’s landing in his ship, “Victor One.” From there it goes on to follow the President and Vice President as they consider the technological and military ramifications of this visitor from outer space. At the same time, a Vice General in the Joint Chiefs of Staff carries on a parallel plan – bringing Thor to the attention of the Empyrean of Secret Shadow Society, a leader with contacts across the universe. Valiant Thor raises the question of who will rise to ultimate power on earth and across the universe.

The film, which Jim Stefan says is in post-production right now, was born when Craig Campobasso met Dr. Frank E. Stranges in 2002. Campobasso worked closely with Dr. Stranges as he wrote the screenplay based on the book, and prepared it to become a film. Jim Stefan is excited to see what new questions will arise as he works to bring the tale of Valiant Thor to renewed public attention.
