Creating and Maintaining a Personal Brand with Jim Stefan

In today's day and age, branding, particularly personal branding, is everything. Jim Stefan, in particular, is aware of the enormous effects of choosing to brand yourself appropriately. For example, Jim Stefan, the owner and chief executive officer of such companies as the Lloyd Harrison Entertainment Group, Lloyd Harrison Music, Platform3 Media, and EMPV Model Management, has cultivated a brand for himself as an excellent and highly sought after member of the entertainment management industry.

Jim Stefan encourages all people, regardless of their profession, to carefully and thoughtfully consider the personal brand that they are presenting to the world. Especially given the prevalence of social media today, everyone, says Jim Stefan, should be very mindful of how they cultivate and maintain their personal brand. Jim Stefan has some things for you to consider:

First and foremost, what would you like your brand to say about you? Are you a polished and professional member of the business community? Or are you a more hip and creative member of an artistic group? Would you like the world to know that you are friendly and approachable? Or do you tend to run more distantly? Are family and community your priority? Or would you prefer to be seen as a more independent entrepreneur?

Once you have determined the overall message of your branding efforts, says Jim Stefan, it is time for you to get out there and make your brand known. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are great for getting your message out. The trick to getting the most out of social media, says Jim Stefan, is to update your sites with interesting content as often as possible. There is nothing that can sink a personal brand ship quite like having dead social media sites, says Jim Stefan.

Jim Stefan knows that cultivating a personal brand can seem difficult at first, but do not give up, the results are definitely worth it.

Jim Stefan's rich and lengthy experience as the Sydney Tribune and Sydney Journal Magazine's publisher no doubt influenced his future career choices. As a publisher, it is your responsibility to ensure that your publication has a positive relationship and impact within the community. As an entertainment management expert, Jim Stefan must strive to ensure that all his companies do the same things as his prior publications. For example, Jim Stefan's company, the Lloyd Harrison Entertainment Group, has very recently announced a corporate partnership with the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club. Jim Stefan works hard to find the best ways to publicize the works of his companies, and things like corporate partnerships can be highly beneficial to a local business. Jim Stefan considers his expertise in publicizing his work to be a direct effect of his experience in journalism and publishing.

Lest you believe that Jim Stefan has completely removed himself from the publishing industry, you should know that he has not. Jim Stefan is the owner and chief executive officer of Platform3 Media.

Jim Stefan on Digital Journalism

Jim Stefan is known to many in New South Wales as the premier entertainment and event manager in New South Wales. What many people do not realize is that Jim Stefan got his start in journalism. In fact, for much of the 1990s, Jim Stefan was the publisher and owner of the Sydney Tribune as well as the Sydney Journal Magazine.  Additionally, during that time, Jim Stefan was a member of the Journalists Association of Australia.

Throughout his time in the industry, Jim Stefan has watched the face of journalism change extensively. In fact, Jim Stefan says that journalism and the way it conducts its business have changed entirely. When Jim Stefan first joined the journalistic profession, consumers received their news in two ways: the morning paper and the nightly local television news broadcast. In the 1990s, the internet was a brand new thing and journalists were still wondering how this new technology would affect their profession, for better or for worse.

Newspaper owners and publishers like Jim Stefan had to figure out how to best produce their content on the new information super high way. As time went on, it became clear to publishers like Jim Stefan that journalism, as they had known it, was changing forever. One of the biggest changes that Jim Stefan noticed was the time frame in which news changed. In the era of print and television journalism, a big story would play out over the course of days, weeks or months. Now, with the advent of cable news networks and the use of the internet as a news outlet, a story plays out completely in hours or minutes. In fact, with the increasingly ubiquitous use of Twitter, news reporters can now convey hundreds of stories a day, all in one hundred forty characters or less. Jim Stefan believes that digital journalism is a wonderful thing.

Inside “Stranger At The Pentagon” with Executive Producer Jim Stefan

For all the sci-fi fans out there, “Stranger At The Pentagon” promises to be a blockbuster hit, says executive producer Jim Stefan. The film is based on true events – or at the very least, the book by that name written by Dr. Frank E. Stranges and first published in 1967.

“Stranger At The Pentagon” tells the tale of the landing of Valiant Thor, the first documented landing of a human-type alien. Valiant Thor met with President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon upon his landing on March 16, 1957 and he was invited to remain at the Pentagon for three years.

This alien VIP is an open historical secret, explains Jim Stefan, who worked on the film alongside Craig Campobasso, the California based Emmy nominated casting director and film-maker. Author Dr. Frank E. Stranges had the opportunity to meet with the extraterrestrial on Christmas Eve, 1959, toward the end of Valiant Thor’s residence at the Pentagon.

“Stranger At The Pentagon” opens on the morning of Valiant Thor’s landing in his ship, “Victor One.” From there it goes on to follow the President and Vice President as they consider the technological and military ramifications of this visitor from outer space. At the same time, a Vice General in the Joint Chiefs of Staff carries on a parallel plan – bringing Thor to the attention of the Empyrean of Secret Shadow Society, a leader with contacts across the universe. Valiant Thor raises the question of who will rise to ultimate power on earth and across the universe.

The film, which Jim Stefan says is in post-production right now, was born when Craig Campobasso met Dr. Frank E. Stranges in 2002. Campobasso worked closely with Dr. Stranges as he wrote the screenplay based on the book, and prepared it to become a film. Jim Stefan is excited to see what new questions will arise as he works to bring the tale of Valiant Thor to renewed public attention.
